Living in Rochester.

Rochester is a gret place to live. After years of bouncing I am settled back into the Rochester lifestyle. After three years in the South Wedge (and eighteen years of growing up here) I am finding that I still enjoy the things I always loved to do and that there are plenty of new places and activities to keep me surprised and entertained. Come for a visit and I'll show you what I mean.

Rochester Top Five Activities

  1. Walking / cross country skiing / napping in Highland Park.
  2. Watching a Rhinos game.
  3. Canoeing on the Genesee.
  4. Taking a stroll on the Charlotte pier.
  5. Sitting around the camp fire at Lux.

Teaching in a school.

This fall will be fourth year of teaching in a school and Im starting to feel like I know what Im doing.. I teach at Wilson Magnet High School in the RCSD. This year my schedule includes some AP biology, ninth grade science and forensic science (yeah I know its cool). After putting in a couple of years teaching computer programming I'm happy to have a schedule that is full of science.

Traveling around New York.

I've always said that the key to living in Rochester is to leave it. Thats really the way I feel about living anywhere, however. My restless spirit keeps me wandering and the Empire State has plenty of unique spots to explore in all seasons.

Five places you should go in upstate:

  1. Howe Caverns
  2. Jello Museum
  3. Niagara Falls
  4. Wellesley Island
  5. The Adirondacks
